Piano for Kids

This book introduces basic 4/4 time. The animal concept is maintained, but only ears, horns or tail appear on the quarter notes. This is done to help the children begin to recognize traditional music notes. Also the animals' ears are only outlined and not shaded as in book one ("Note Reading"). When using traditional music, an outline of the animals' ears, horns or tail can be easily drawn in as a reminder for the child and then erased later. Since this book is designed for very young children, only the basic note family has been introduced. You will enjoy using this introduction to basic music timing for younger students.
